Research title:
Advance hyperspectral data processing for vegetation applications

Research proposal:
The research project deals with the processing of remotely sensed Hyperspectral images. Hyperspectral data provides a wealth of spectral information but a lot of the existing methodologies for data processing often ignore the spatial and context information. One of the aims of this work is to try to develop new tools and techniques for vegetation mapping using Hyperspectral data, exploiting both spectral and spatial features of the data and also image segmentation algorithms for Hyperspectral data with a reasonable hardware and computational time. Also, some amount of time will be dedicated to develop ensemble architectures of classifiers to improve the classification.
